When speed is of the essence: Reliable fire‑fighting technology for every scenario.

Fire department

Fire departments require reliable firefighting technologies that are both easy to operate and adaptable to on-site conditions. We equip fire trucks with suitable foam proportioning systems and provide expert support in mobile firefighting technology, including portable proportioners and fire‑fighting trailers. Our firefighting solutions are custom‑designed for volunteer fire brigades, industrial plant fire teams, and municipal or professional fire services.

Items to be protected:

Class A and Class B combustible materials include solid substances such as paper, wood, textiles, hay, straw, plastics, and coal, as well as liquid or liquefiable substances such as wax, alcohol, tar, gasoline, resins, paints, and various plastic products.

Fire Protection Technical Requirements

When every second counts, firefighting technology must be ready at a moment’s notice. In high‑pressure environments, reliable performance and intuitive operation are essential. Moreover, fire‑suppression systems must integrate seamlessly with existing equipment. Our engineers expertly manage the technical requirements of firefighting operations.

On standby immediately · Highly reliable

Proportional mixers mounted on fire trucks must remain ready at all times, capable of immediate activation in emergency situations to deliver the required mixing ratio. Accordingly, FireDos proportional mixers are kept in standby mode, ensuring that the desired mixing ratio can be generated instantly and maintained consistently.

Thanks to its pump‑type design, the proportional mixing ratio remains stable regardless of fluctuations in water pressure. The device is based on a purely mechanical operating principle and is driven solely by the fire‑fighting water flow. It requires no electrical power, thereby eliminating unnecessary drain on the vehicle’s battery and ensuring reliable operation.

Another advantage is that the foam or wetting agent remains in the proportioning pump, eliminating the need for flushing. This ensures that, during the next fire‑fighting operation, the set proportioning ratio will be immediately effective.

Foam and Wetting Agent Generation System

Not all Class A or Class B fires should be extinguished with foam. Depending on the fire type, a wetting agent may sometimes be more appropriate. To produce these two types of extinguishing agents, foam or wetting agent is precisely blended into the firefighting water stream. FireDos proportioning mixers can handle all foam concentrate types—including high-viscosity, alcohol‑resistant, or fluorine‑free foams—enabling the generation of either foam or wetting agent.

Compatible with various types of fire trucks

FireDos proportional mixers can be installed on all types of fire trucks, including crew‑cab fire engines, water tankers, roll‑on/roll‑off fire trucks, and aerial ladder trucks.

Well integrated, easy to operate,

To ensure a rapid response in emergency situations, fire‑extinguishing technologies must seamlessly integrate with the technical environment and be compatible with all nozzles and spray devices.

When using the FireDos proportional mixer, the length and layout of the on-site hose lines can be freely adjusted, and changes in water pressure do not affect the mixing ratio.

This proportional mixer is suitable for all water‑discharge devices: hollow‑jet nozzles with or without foam attachments, medium‑, composite‑, and low‑expansion foam tubes, high‑expansion foam generators, and fire monitors.

The rapid‑attack device can be used with foam or a wetting agent. The number of outlets or diverters can be adjusted during operation. The proportioning mixer can be installed at any point in the hose system.

The user interface is intuitive and easy to use, making it particularly well-suited for high-pressure environments. Accordingly, operators require only minimal training. The manual control unit features a robust design and can be operated even while wearing gloves.

Mobile firefighting technology delivers exceptional operational flexibility.

Mobile firefighting equipment, such as fire‑fighting trailers, is less costly than fixed systems and can be rapidly deployed and put into service at any location. Fire‑fighting trailers equipped with proportioning mixers, monitoring systems, or a combination of both help protect personnel health and reduce the risk of high winds.

Regional exposure risks. Portable proportioning mixers—available with or without transport brackets—provide fire departments with greater mobility and flexibility, making them suitable for wildfire suppression and other applications.
